The first thing anyone notices about the Allora is its gently curved bars that give it its signature contemporary look. It has an undeniably modern feel but a timeless quality as well, helped in no small part by its simple yet elegant design. If the hard lines of the Adesso don’t appeal to you, the Allora’s oval bar aesthetic is an excellent alternative, adding a cosy, relaxed feel into any space. It’s also available in white and anthracite, as well as single and double bar models, to match a variety of room types.
Heating technology
To keep your rooms warm and welcoming throughout the day, each Ecostrad Allora is pre-filled with a heat retentive thermal oil so they stay warmer for longer whilst keeping running costs low. Their efficiency is optimised even further through the use of Fast-Flo heating technology on the inside of the radiator body, which provides wider internal channels for increased flow and heat distribution. Like the Adesso, these radiators are designed for Bluetooth app control to simplify programming and make sure your rooms are cosy and warm when you come to use them. And now for something completely different. The Ecostrad Ecowärme has a distinctly traditional feel compared to the Allora or Adesso, sporting a finned exterior that looks more in keeping with a central heating radiator. It might not have the most modern aesthetic but those deep fins provide increased contact with the air which helps to efficiently transfer heat into the room and offer a greater level of comfort. Available in both white and anthracite finishes for a timeless look, it’s a superb blend of tried-and-true heating technology with a modern twist.
Heating technology
Unlike the radiators above, the Ecostrad Ecowärme doesn’t have any fluid inside. This innovative electric radiator makes uses of aluminium elements to warm the air in the room quickly and provide results that take effect in minutes. Alongside these lightweight and responsive elements, the Ecowärme also uses ceramic plates inside the housing which gradually warm up as heated air passes over them. These plates are excellent at staying warm, so once they’re nice and hot, they provide additional long-lasting heat even when the radiator has stopped drawing power. The Ecowärme isn’t app enabled but it does still offer full weekly programming using its built-in control panel and provides access to other handy features like adaptive start and open window detection. For added ease of use, you can also install it DIY too, making it a fantastic option if you need to get your heating set up in a hurry.

The Technotherm KS DSM has the same elegantly finned aesthetic as the Ecostrad Ecowärme, though, it should be noted that it has these ribs on both side of the heater, helping to maximise its efficiency even further. And, as an added bonus, this also means you can install the radiator either with the control panel aligned to the left or the right for a little more flexibility during installation. This more traditional style vertical electric radiator has no bars or separators going across the middle of the appliance like some other brands do which helps to give it a sleek, unbroken appearance.

This radiator uses ceramic to provide long-lasting warmth but its tablets are far larger than the Ecowärme’s and maximise its heat retention capabilities. It’s a comparatively heavy radiator but it more than makes up for it by providing outstanding efficiency. The ceramic stone inside of this radiator holds heat so well that it continues to emit heat up to 45 minutes after it’s stopped drawing power at the wall. It also emits half of its warmth in the form of radiant heat, which isn’t lost through draughts, meaning more heat stays in the room. The Technotherm KS DSM provides WiFi controllable heating when purchased with its hub accessory so you can pair it up to your phone or tablet and tweak your settings when you’re on the move. The app not only improves programming but also unlocks voice control, energy usage statistics as well as a geolocation tool.
