Designer Electric Towel Rails
The majority of traditional electric towel rails use thermal fluid elements to distribute heat across the surface of the heater, in much the same way as a central heating towel rail will use heated water. Designer rails function very differently to this and have no fluid components whatsoever. These rails use an exceptionally fine filament of wire laid out beneath a layer of tempered safety glass, which heats up and distributes warmth across the exterior of the glass panel.
While both traditional and designer towel rails work fantastically as bathroom heaters, they do vary a little in terms of how they heat your towels. Towels hung on a ladder-style rail will only come into direct contact with the heater via the rung and can take longer to thoroughly dry out. Designer glass panel rails don’t work in this way though – these use the entire surface of the back panel to uniformly dry out any towels hanging in front of it. It’s only a minor difference in the grand scheme of things but it does make designer rails that little bit more convenient.
Some designer towel rails may come without a programmer, the idea being that this gives you total freedom to choose how you want to control the radiator. However, sometimes the designer label also brings with it designer programming! All of our deluxe glass towel rails come with remote programmers so you will have the full range of controls available straightaway when you come to use your heater. This might not always be the case with products on other websites so be sure to fully check product descriptions and specifications to avoid disappointment.
You needn’t have any reservations purchasing a glass towel rail when it comes to safety – they’re just as robust as any other type of bathroom heater. They use extremely tough tempered safety glass for complete peace of mind and are no more breakable than your average steel-bodied towel rail. They’re even hardy enough to be installed in households with young children so you don’t need to worry about them being damaged through accidental knocks.
Designer Towel RailsCombining advances in technology with futuristic design, the latest electric heated towel rails have been given a contemporary face-lift and now make a striking addition to any modern bathroom – choose from a wide range of styles and sizes to suit your bathroom décor. Innovative tempered-glass heated towel rails simultaneously dry towels whilst providing comforting warmth to your bathroom. The safety glass used across their surface area allows for greater drying and heating efficiency, which could help to lower the cost of energy bills in the long-term. In more traditional bathrooms, ladder-style electric radiators are a practical and stylish solution which still offer energy efficiency benefits, as they can be controlled separately from the main home heating system.
