With cold and longer nights now back in our lives, there’s no doubt you’ll be thinking about the best ways to ensure the house is kept warm, especially on a morning. After all, who wants to wake up to freezing temperatures? Leaving your radiators on overnight is a sure-fire way to guarantee that a toasty temperature remains in your home ready for you in the morning. If you’re wondering if it’s safe to do this, then we’re here to deliver the answer by explaining when you should and shouldn’t leave your electric radiators to run all night.
Intelligent appliances encompass everything from the revolutionary to the mundane: on the one hand, we have smart doorbells, cookers and lights for a new level of everyday convenience; and on the more ignominious side of the ‘internet of things’, there are the smart cups, robot pillows and – sadly – the intelli-toilets. Thankfully, the world of heating has benefitted immensely from smart technology and remains one of the big winners from this modern era of innovation but how do you choose between the reams of products on offer? This blog is going to take a look at the differences between smart thermostats, which offer a central point of control; and smart electric radiators, which offer a more modular way to heat properties. If you’re wondering which could be most beneficial for you, read on.
In our thoughtful, eco-conscious era, the world as we know it is changing. In response to the increasing threat of pollution, low efficiency, and our country’s overall overuse of energy, the UK government is in the process of administering drastic changes that should readdress the imbalance – creating a sustainable future free from fossil fuels, pollutants, and waste. Well, we want to put a stop to the doubt that creeps in and makes you question “can I really afford that?”. The truth is, not everything with the word ‘designer’ attached to it has to be overly expensive and you can still find luxury at a lower cost, as evidenced by our affordable range of designer electric radiators.
On Wednesday 13th November at 8pm, BBC1 will be airing a special Children in Need episode of DIY SOS: The Big Build. This episode will focus on renovating St Silas’s Parish Room of St Silas’s Church in Blackburn with Darwen and turning it into a place for young and vulnerable people to call home. This is in support of local charity Nightsafe who have been offering shelter to young, homeless individuals for almost 30 years. Here at Electric Radiators Direct, we wanted to contribute to this fantastic cause in whatever way we could, so when the show appealed for support from volunteers and tradespeople, we were eager to answer the call. We decided to offer up some of our products to ensure that these young people would remain warm and comfortable in this new accommodation.
