These towel rails come pre-filled with thermal fluid. The element will arrive separately and must be fitted by an electrician. Please ensure that you have both the heater and the element before booking a contractor. The element can be fitted in either side of the rail.
Radiators and towel rails for bathrooms, cloakrooms and wet rooms must be professionally installed by a qualified electrician and not sold as a DIY product. Always defer to the manufacturer’s guidelines about the bathroom suitability of any product.
Please note: open windows, extractor fans and covering a towel rail can all impact the heater’s ability to warm a space effectively. Room humidity may also decrease the heat output of your electric towel rail, reducing its effectiveness as a towel dryer.

This towel rail is pre-filled with heat-retentive oil that delivers an even distribution of warmth across the body of the heater. Once it has fully warmed, heat spreads evenly between all the bars and struts, providing comfortable and lasting warmth. This means less energy is needed to maintain the Scala’s heat levels, providing maximum efficiency.
For short bursts of heat, the Scala is fitted with a nifty 1-5 hour timer function, so the rail can be set to heat for a chosen duration of time, which is ideal for drying towels. Once your towels are dry, the heater will automatically turn off, ensuring maximum efficiency.
