Intelligent WiFi Control

Program your heating from anywhere in the world with the Scala iQ’s WiFi compatibility. Simply download the Ecostrad Ecosystem or Smart Life app onto your device, pair it with your radiator via Bluetooth and start adjusting your heating all through the intuitive interface of your smartphone. Access a range of energy-saving features including 24/7 programming, which enables you to set up a heating schedule tailored specifically to your needs. Select between Comfort or Eco mode for hourly intervals of constant heating, with a set temperature range of 7-30 °C. With Smart Life, you can also pair your towel rail to a smart speaker for hands-free voice control.

Ecostrad iQ WiFi Element

Fitted with the Ecostrad iQ WiFi Element, the Scala iQ offers sophisticated manual control. Its touchscreen display is discreet and easy to use, boasting a precise room thermostat accurate to ± 0.5 °C, as well as an internal radiator thermostat that engages on ‘Radiator mode’. This means you can control the internal temperature of the heater itself, whilst also adjusting the external temperature of the room. ‘Radiator mode’ gives you access to a Low Surface Temperature setting, which restricts the temperature of the Scala iQ to 30 °C, for safer heating. This mode can be set through the Smart Life app or control panel and cannot be used in conjunction with 24/7 programming.

The Scala iQ also comes with open window detection, an energy-saving feature that helps to maximise efficiency. If a temperature drop of 2 °C or more across 5 minutes is detected, this automatic function will switch the radiator to an anti-freeze state. After a set interval, it will then resume heating on the previous setting – this interval can only be changed through the Smart Life app, for either 60 or 90 minutes. 

Highly Efficient Heating

The Scala iQ is pre-filled with heat-retentive thermal oil, ensuring an even distribution of warmth across the body of the heater. It provides the room with comforting warmth that lasts, even after the heater has been switched off. This means less energy is required to continue heating the area, promoting maximum efficiency. 

Installation

The Ecostrad Scala iQ is not a DIY product and must be installed by a professional electrician. It’s safe for bathroom use and boasts an impressive IPX4 rating, meaning it’s protected against splashes of water. The Scala iQ comes with a generous 5 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty on the towel rail and a separate 2 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty on the element.
