Adjusting the surface temperature of the Technotherm KS TDI Low Surface Temperature Radiator is a manual process and will require the use of a screwdriver. View the surface temperature adjustment instructions for further details. Please note that as it is a manual procedure, you may need to test and adjust the limiter several times before finding the right position or temperature level. The default surface temperature set during manufacturing is 60 °C.
The Technotherm KS TDI Low Surface Temperature Radiator comes equipped with a wall mounting bracket and any additional fixtures required to mount the radiator to the wall. Mounting the KS to the wall is an easy DIY task and clear instructions are included in the manual. To install, simply drill into the wall in the desired place, position your mounting bracket and slot the radiator into the bracket to secure. All that’s left is to plug the KS into a socket. This radiator can be made into a freestanding unit when purchased with its optional feet (sold separately).
The Technotherm KS has an IP20 rating which does not protect it from water. We do not recommend electric radiators or panel heaters for bathroom installation because of the temptation to hang towels over them to dry, which can block ventilation and create a hazard.
Care must always be taken when connecting multiple radiators or heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, contact a qualified electrician for advice. For a professional installation, cables can be shortened and the heater connected to the mains supply by a fused spur. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Offering enhanced and flexible temperature control, the Technotherm KS TDI Low Surface Temperature Radiator is an extra safe solution for care homes, nurseries and hospitals. By manually adjusting its sensor, this electric radiator can be set to have a maximum surface temperature anywhere between 30 – 85 °C, making it a great choice for NHS buildings that require heating systems restricted to 43 °C. The limiter can be quickly and easily adjusted using a screwdriver: turn it clockwise to increase the maximum temperature or anti-clockwise to reduce it down to a touch-safe level.
All Technotherm KS TDI Low Surface Temperature Radiators come with a 15 Year Warranty to reflect their outstanding build quality and heating technology. Heating elements are laid and set directly into the ceramic stone tablets that span the length of the radiator for uniform warmth that heats your rooms from top to bottom. This means more radiated heat, less heat loss through draughts and reduced energy bills as a result. Technotherm are so passionate about the construction of their electric radiators that each stage of production is closely monitored, tested, and approved by one of their dedicated quality control managers. This approach ensures every product meets and maintains Technotherm’s impeccable standard and every one of their products comes with a unique code that can be traced back to the manufacturing plant – helping them to identify who built and signed-off each radiator at each stage of the development.
