This infrared heating panel is for wall mounted installation only and must never be installed on a ceiling. It can be wall mounted DIY using the brackets and fixtures provided – all you need to do is attach the brackets to the wall, then place the panel on the brackets and plug it into a standard 3-pin socket.
Ecostrad Opus IR panels are suitable for use in bathrooms provided they are installed in zones 2 or 3 as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. If they are to be installed in a bathroom, they must always be hardwired into a fused spur by a professional electrician. Always defer to the manufacturer’s guidelines regarding the installation and suitability of their products for use in bathrooms.
If you are planning to install multiple heaters, please consult an electrician beforehand to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. They will be able to provide further advice on your project and hardwire your heaters to the mains.
The Ecostrad Opus IR Infrared Wall Panel has a 5 Year Warranty on the heater body and a separate 1 Year Warranty on the electronic receiver.
Ecostrad Opus IR Infrared Wall Panels bring designer flair to your rooms with their minimalist, frameless aesthetic. They can be installed DIY with little effort, neatly hugging the wall to ensure they take up as little room as possible, and at just 25mm deep, they’re a great choice if you want to maximise available space.
Opus infrared panels warm spaces using radiant heat, which is absorbed by the brickwork of your property to bring rooms up to comfort temperature. It doesn’t rely on the surrounding air to transfer warmth so no heat is lost through draughts. This means your rooms stay warmer for longer, using less energy in the process. On the inside of the panel is a carbon crystal film element that efficiently emits warmth into the room, and to prevent heat loss to the wall, the Opus also contains a layer of polyurethane insulation at the rear. The elements are covered in a special fire-resistant, patented coating which protects the appliance and also increases heat conduction.
The remote control supplied with each Opus IR panel acts as both the room thermostat and the programmer, allowing you to set a custom weekly schedule using its digital interface. You can set an interval Monday to Friday to create start and finish times for your heating during the working week, and set intervals for Saturday and Sunday separately. It also provides access to a comfort override option, as well as open window detection and adaptive start functions. Each remote can be used with any number of Opus IR panels so you can have multiple heaters follow the same routine. If you would prefer to use the heater manually or with an external controller, you can simply use the bypass switch on the rear of the panel which gives you the option of changing your control preference further down the line.
This Ecostrad Opus IR infrared heating panel is for wall mounted installation only – please see our range of Opus IR ceiling mounted panels if you need a heating system that is out of arm’s reach. If you plan to use this heater in a bathroom, please ensure that it is hardwired by a professional electrician.
