The Ecostrad Klasse iQ is suitable for DIY installation. It comes with a standard UK plug as well as all fixtures and fittings needed for wall mounted installation, including mounting brackets. An electrician or plumber is not required unless a hardwired fitting is needed. When installing an electric radiator, always defer to the manufacturing guidelines.
The Klasse iQ has an IP20 rating which does not protect it from the ingress of water. This means it cannot be used in bathrooms or any other spaces close to a water source, as there is the temptation to hang towels over the appliance to dry, which can obstruct ventilation on the heater and cause a hazard.
Care must always be taken when connecting multiple radiators or heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, contact a qualified electrician for advice. For a professional installation, cables can be shortened and the heater connected to the mains supply by a fused spur. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Warranty
Ecostrad Klasse iQ electric radiators come with a 15 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty on the radiator body and a separate 2 years on the electronics.

These close-packed, patented Magmatic stone heating tablets have been cast from a mixture of porcelain, clay and ceramic and span the full length of the radiator, for a more efficient distribution of heat. This minimises heat loss and retains warmth efficiently even after switch-off, so rooms stay warmer for longer at no extra cost. Two overheat protection thermocouples are located inside the radiator above the tablets, for that extra level of safety.
