Intelligent WiFi Control

Control your heating using your smartphone with the Ecostrad iQ WiFi Element. Compatible with the Ecostrad Ecosystem and Smart Life App, it connects to your smartphone through Bluetooth auto-scan, enabling you to manage your heating from anywhere in the world. Program single or multiple appliances all from the palm of your hand, even when you’re on the go. Use your phone to make simple temperature adjustments or set up a tailored, weekly heating schedule with the app’s 24/7 programming function. Select Comfort or Eco mode for hourly intervals of constant heating, with a set temperature range of 7-30 °C. With Smart Life, you can also pair the iQ element to a smart speaker, for hands-free voice control.

Touchscreen Interface

The Ecostrad iQ WiFi Heating Element features a flatscreen display with touch sensitive buttons, for easy manual control. It sports a stylish, universal design with a chrome finish that perfectly matches the aesthetic of compatible electric radiators. After a minute of use, the display dims and a soft chime sounds whenever the element switches on or off. It also comes with a child lock to prevent unwanted tampering with your heating.

This element comes with a room thermostat accurate to ± 0.5 °C, as well as an internal radiator thermostat which engages on ‘radiator mode’. With ‘radiator mode’ you can control the internal temperature of your radiator and increase the timer range by hourly intervals for up to 8 hours. This mode even gives you access to a Low Surface Temperature option, which limits the temperature of the appliance to 30 °C. ‘Radiator mode’ can be set through the SmartLife app or control panel and cannot be used in conjunction with 24/7 programming.

As an added, energy-saving feature, the Ecostrad iQ Element also comes with open window detection which engages if the radiator records a temperature drop of 2 °C or more across 5 minutes. The element will then switch to an anti-freeze state and wait for a set interval before resuming heating on the previous settings. This interval can only be changed through the SmartLife app, for either 60 or 90 minutes. 

Installation

The Ecostrad iQ WiFi Heating Element must be installed by a professional electrician as it should be hardwired to a fused spur. This element is available in a range of wattages which can be used to replace an old element like-for-like. Before purchasing, always ensure that the element has an appropriate wattage for your heater’s size.
