The Herschel Summit can be wall or ceiling mounted using the accessories and brackets provided. Be sure to mount the Summit in line with the manufacturer's guidelines: 2.1 - 2.7m from the floor and at least 300mm away from any adjacent surfaces. Never install the Summit any lower than 1.8m from the floor. The Summit comes with a 2m cable but does not come supplied with a plug. This infrared heater will need to be hardwired by a professional electrician.
Although the heated area reduces as the Summit is brought closer to the floor, the heat given off intensifies so please bear this in mind when positioning your infrared heaters. See the Herschel Summit manual for more information.
Another consideration for installation is the sensation of wind chill from open doors, roller shutters, or particularly exposed outdoor areas, all of which can offset the effects of infrared heat. To avoid this in indoor scenarios, we recommend installing the Summit away from open windows, doors, or shutters.
The Herschel Summit has an IP65 rating, protecting it from low-pressure jets of water and the ingress of dust.
Please note: the surface of the Herschel Summit can reach temperatures in excess of 350 degrees and should never be installed where there is a risk of physical contact with the heater.
The Summit provides a soothing source of infrared that gently warms your spaces. Designed with an unobtrusive matt black housing, the Summit can be discreetly installed wherever it's needed most, catering for open plan interiors that are difficult to heat using traditional means.
The Herschel Summit comes in two different configurations depending on its intended use. The remote control Summit is perfect for casual use, offering a point and press heating solution that heats at either half or full power depending on your needs. The remote Summit also features a simple 1-9 hour timer, so you can set your heating to run for a restricted period to conserve energy.
If you plan on using the heater as a primary source of warmth, the non-remote version of the Summit will make the better option as it's designed for use in conjunction with a thermostat or controller, providing nuanced heating control that suits the fluctuating needs of domestic or commercial interiors. Using a thermostat or controller, you can allocate individual heaters to different areas and control them from one central location, create a heating schedule, and turn your heaters on or off. Without a controller, the non-remote Summit will simply heat at its maximum output.
Whichever you require, both Herschel Summit Infrared Heaters reach temperatures quickly and effectively, taking no longer than 10 minutes to begin warming your spaces. Featuring a sleek matt black finish and zero light heating elements, the Summit is an understated heating solution that's both stylish and subtle.
