The VPN Series range is suitable for DIY installation and comes equipped with everything you need to mount them on the wall. The VPN Series simply screws to the wall using the brackets provided and plugs into the nearest wall socket.
VPN Series TDI Electric Panel Heaters come with an IP20 rating, which means they aren’t protected from the ingress of water. We do not recommend electric radiators or panel heaters for bathroom installation because of the temptation to hang towels over them to dry, which can block ventilation and create a hazard.
Care must always be taken when connecting multiple radiators or heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, contact a qualified electrician for advice. For a professional installation, cables can be shortened and the heater connected to the mains supply by a fused spur. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The VPN Series TDI range offers an upgrade from conventional on-demand panel heaters, combining the energy-saving features and controllability of an electric radiator with premium manufacturing standards. The result is a high-quality occasional heater that’s programmable, energy-efficient, and designed to last for years to come. This 2000w VPN Series TDI is the largest in the range, suitable for anywhere that doesn’t stay warm using your primary heating system.
Technotherm VPN Series Electric Panel Heaters use a lightweight aluminium ‘X bar’ heating element, which rapidly heats up and cools down to intuitively respond to changes to your heating schedule - ensuring you’re never left in the cold for too long. Heating via convection, the VPN Series warms the surrounding air to raise the temperature - offering immediate warmth as a secondary or top-up heating system in home offices, guest rooms, or tricky to heat spaces that require additional heating.
Boasting detailed 24/7 programming via the interface, the VPN Series integrates into your routine with ease - ensuring you’re only heating when necessary and saving you money in the process. Assign comfort, economy, or anti-frost modes to hourly intervals or use the VPN Series TDI’s convenient boost function for instant heat when you need it most. The VPN Series goes one step further however, offering intuitive energy-saving features as standard. Adaptive start allows the VPN Series to pre-heat ahead of any scheduled times to ensure it reaches temperature exactly when specified. Whereas open window detection stops the VPN Series from heating if it detects a rapid drop in temperature - all of which are usually found on high-end electric radiators rather than panel heaters. The VPN Series also features a double thermocouple for additional safety.
Please note: we do not recommend electric panel heaters for constant use as a main heating system. If you require all-day heating in every room of your home, please view our range of electric radiators.
