MOA elements are designed for use with towel rails only. For electric radiators, please see our range of Terma MOA Blue heating elements, which offer Bluetooth programming.

The MOA heating element by Terma is designed for use in towel rails and offers simple thermostatic control so you can adjust the temperature of your heater with just the push of a button. Each MOA comes with a 2-hour drying function for a quick boost of warmth, as well as anti-frost protection.

Using its intuitive interface, the MOA allows you to choose between 5 different heat levels ranging from 30 – 60 °C on its default setting. Its maximum temperature is adjustable and can be set between 45 – 65 °C when the towel rail is first installed. The lower 1 – 4 heat levels will adapt accordingly depending on whether you select a higher or lower maximum temperature. This can be a handy feature if you’re only using your towel rail for drying purposes and want to keep its surface temperature low, or it can also be useful if you need a higher level of warmth for effective room heating.

The Terma MOA electric heating element uses a pulsing heat delivery, switching off for a rest period every 20 seconds to help protect the lifespan of the element. This provides a more even heat distribution and also prevents the element from overheating. For accurate temperature control, the MOA element uses a separate capillary rod to take readings from the inside of the heater, ensuring that your towel rail is always at the perfect heat level.

MOA heating elements must be installed by a professional electrician and can be wired into an external control system, if desired. We offer MOA elements in a range of wattages so you can replace an old element like-for-like. Before purchasing, always ensure that the element has an appropriate wattage for your heater’s size.
