The VPN Series range is suitable for DIY installation and comes equipped with everything you need to mount them on the wall. The VPN Series simply screws to the wall using the brackets provided and plugs into the nearest wall socket.
VPN Series TDI Electric Panel Heaters come with an IP20 rating, which means they aren’t protected from the ingress of water. We do not recommend electric radiators or panel heaters for bathroom installation because of the temptation to hang towels over them to dry, which can block ventilation and create a hazard.
Care must always be taken when connecting multiple radiators or heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, contact a qualified electrician for advice. For a professional installation, cables can be shortened and the heater connected to the mains supply by a fused spur. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Technotherm VPN Series Electric Panel Heaters come with a 5 Year Warranty on the heater body and a 2 Year Warranty on the thermostat and electronic components.

The VPN Series TDI range offers an upgrade from conventional on-demand panel heaters, combining the energy-saving features and controllability of an electric radiator with premium manufacturing standards. The result is a high-quality occasional heater that’s programmable, energy-efficient, and designed to last for years to come. This 2000w VPN Series TDI is the largest in the range, suitable for anywhere that doesn’t stay warm using your primary heating system.
Technotherm VPN Series Electric Panel Heaters use a lightweight aluminium ‘X bar’ heating element, which rapidly heats up and cools down to intuitively respond to changes to your heating schedule - ensuring you’re never left in the cold for too long. Heating via convection, the VPN Series warms the surrounding air to raise the temperature - offering immediate warmth as a secondary or top-up heating system in home offices, guest rooms, or tricky to heat spaces that require additional heating.
Boasting detailed 24/7 programming via the interface, the VPN Series integrates into your routine with ease - ensuring you’re only heating when necessary and saving you money in the process. Assign comfort, economy, or anti-frost modes to hourly intervals or use the VPN Series TDI’s convenient boost function for instant heat when you need it most. The VPN Series goes one step further however, offering intuitive energy-saving features as standard. Adaptive start allows the VPN Series to pre-heat ahead of any scheduled times to ensure it reaches temperature exactly when specified. Whereas open window detection stops the VPN Series from heating if it detects a rapid drop in temperature - all of which are usually found on high-end electric radiators rather than panel heaters. The VPN Series also features a double thermocouple for additional safety.
Please note: we do not recommend electric panel heaters for constant use as a main heating system. If you require all-day heating in every room of your home, please view our range of electric radiators.
The VPN Series by Technotherm represent the next generation of electric panel heaters, offering innovative control and energy-saving features, perfectly complemented by a striking modern design. Their quick convection heat makes them a superb addition to any secondary areas of the home that need occasional heating – great for spare rooms, home offices and conservatories. They’re even suitable for DIY fitting so you can set up your new electric heater in a matter of minutes.
The VPN Series TDI is the perfect choice to supplement an existing heating system, offering rapid on-demand heat that gets to work in an instant. Using a lightweight “x bar” heating element, the VPN Series is super-quick to heat up and cool down, providing near-instant temperature management that’s both responsive and intuitive. Whether you install the VPN Series TDI in a home office or spare bedroom, you can enjoy immediate on-demand heating whenever the need arises.
Using the TDI interface, you can program your Technotherm VPN Series electric heaters hourly, daily and weekly to perfectly match your routine. This isn’t just a convenient way to keep your rooms comfortably heated when you need them; by zoning your heating, you can also save on your energy usage by heating unoccupied rooms less often or to a lower temperature.
Every Technotherm VPN Series electric heater comes with a 1.8m cable, a UK fitted plug and wall mounting brackets so you can have your new system set up in no time at all. Installation takes a matter of minutes and is so simple that you can even do it DIY using a few tools you may already have around the house. No expensive or time-consuming professional callouts needed.
Finished to exceptional standards, each stage of the VPN Series’ production is closely monitored, tested, and approved by one of Technotherm’s dedicated quality control managers. This approach ensures every panel heater meets and maintains their high standards. Styled with a bold anthracite finish, the VPN Series blends into most contemporary design schemes – offering chic heating for a range of spaces. White and anthracite versions of the TDI are available and its sister range, the VPN Series DSM, can also be purchased for smart WiFi control and a range of advanced features.
