Available in kits with up to four receivers, this bundle works exceedingly well for heaters with higher wattages. When making alterations to your heating via the thermostat, the changes are relayed to the receivers using a radio frequency signal. The receivers are wired into the back of your heater, for the ultimate immaculate finish.

The Salus RT510RF Thermostat needs 2xAA batteries for it to work. It can be wall-mounted DIY, or left freestanding. Draughts and bright, direct sunlight can alter the temperature readings, so your thermostat should not be placed in line with these. Radio interference can also occur if the thermostat is installed near computers or TVs. The thermostat frequency ranges at 30m, taking into consideration the possible obstructions caused by furniture or walls.
A professional electrician is required to install all Salus receivers, as they need hardwiring to the mains as well as their respective heaters. Providing they do not exceed a load of 16 Amps (the equivalent of 3680W in a 230V standard supply), receivers can accommodate several heaters. The dimensions of each receiver are 160x150x43mm (WxHxD).
The Salus RT510RF Wireless Thermostat is prohibited to be placed in bathrooms. They should be installed in dry areas, such as hallways. If you are wanting to control infrared panels in your bathroom, however, the panel will have to be wired into the receiver, in a location that falls outside the ‘wet’ bathroom zones – at least 60cm away from any water sources or splashing water. Receivers must be installed in a dry area, away from any risk of water contact. If in doubt, do not install.

The Salus RT510RF Wireless Digital Thermostat is a key accessory for any infrared heating system. Designed with your needs in mind, the Salus RT510RF is convenient, modern and keeps your running costs to a minimum. It caters to applications both large and small, offering a variety of heat management options and energy-saving features. There’s no need to go through the annoyance of individually programming your infrared heater, as any changes you make via the thermostat are carried via radio frequency to the receivers, removing any difficulties.
Programming Features
The Salus comes with a digital programming function that gives you complete control of your heating system. Create a heating schedule for every day of the week, fully tailored to your needs, with six temperature intervals per day. If you want to create separate heating schedules for weekdays and weekends, the thermostat can alternate between a 5-2 system. A 24hr system is also available if you’d prefer each day programmed individually, and it can control temperatures between 5 - 35 °C. The thermostat also includes a range of other useful functions, including holiday mode, a heat boost function and frost protection mode. The Salus RT510RF comes with a 1 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Wireless Receiver
Salus wireless thermostat kits come with one, two, three, or four paired receivers. They can control single, as well as multiple heaters, as long as they don’t exceed a total of 16 Amps (equating to 360W in a standard 230V supply). A single Salus thermostat can accommodate up to four receivers, so providing you have a maximum of four receivers, it may be possible to use a single thermostat as a central controller. If you want a different temperature or heating schedule in separate rooms, or need to use more than four receivers, extra thermostats will need to be purchased.
Installation
All heaters must be hardwired to the mains, as well as to the heater/heaters you want them to control. The thermostat can be quickly and easily wall-mounted DIY, and it takes 2xAA batteries.
